If you suffer from sweaty feet then you must give them particular attention. They must always be clean and dry because if you don’t see to your foot hygiene you will pay the price. It may be either a bad odor or at the worst, a foot fugus – both undesirable.
It is always recommended for underarm sweating that you use an antiperspirant, well the same can work to stop feet from sweating but you really do need a prescription strength antiperspirant. You can get very good results if you use it every day for a week then just once or twice every seven days to maintain your sweat free feet.
I read a little while ago about shoes made to combat this particular problem, but the only thing is that I cannot tell you the name of this brand of shoes. Apparently the material the shoes are made from completely eradicates any moisture and also stops any foot odor before it starts.
There are all sorts of simple remedies that you can make from items you will more than likely have in your kitchen. A foot soak made from tea is very good, the tannic acid works well to stop feet from sweating.
About half a cup of Epsom Salts also makes a very restful foot bath, this is particularly good if you have been on your feet all day, but it also prevents excess sweating. Another odor-eater is apple cider vinegar diluted in warm water for a refreshing foot bath which will stop feet from sweating.
Have you ever thought of applying mashed ginger to your feet? This works well but the drawback is that you need to leave the ginger in place for a long time, so this is not too practical, however, radish juice is well known for deodorizing feet.
You should take care of your shoes also. Sprinkle the inside of your shoes each night [to leave overnight] with talcum powder or cornstarch. This will absorb any moisture in your shoes left from your sweating feet.
The whole point with shoes is to make sure that they dry out completely, to help this happen, change and change about with your shoes. Don’t wear the same pair every day. If you suffer with excessive foot sweating, wearing sandals should cure the problem. Letting the air get to your feet cannot do anything but good.
The minute I get into my house I always take off my shoes and go about barefoot. Not only do your feet get a rest, but they dry out properly and this avoids any nasty odors. Your feet get exercised when you walk without anything restricting them.
One really important thing you should remember to do is drink water and plenty of it. You must keep your body well hydrated so that it can regulate its temperature. Don’t run away with the idea that if you drink more water it means more liquid to seep out of your body. It doesn’t work quite like that.
Take my word for it – drink more and sweat less.
