Losing weight is not an easy task. Though it may be about one thing, calories in versus calories out, it can be hard for most to achieve. There are two important things that one must do in order to lose weight and keep it off;</p>
<p>Eat Healthy, and</p>
<p>Exercise.</p>
<p>When I am approached about losing weight most people do not know what to eat. They may have the exercise part down, but they still can not<span id="more-605"></span> lose weight. The reason being their diet. If you do not eat the right amount of foods and calories per day according to your activity level you may actually gain weight or not lose weight at all.</p>
<p>Healthy eating is the most important steps when it comes to losing weight. A healthy diet plan should be comprised of the right amount of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Though many have been wrongly informed a healthy diet doesn&#8217;t mean getting rid of everything bad including the things you love, a healthy diet just means making sure you consume more of the good foods than the bad ones.</p>
<p>The second important thing needed to lose weight is a great fitness plan. You must exercise and eat right to lose weight, because eating healthy is not good enough by itself. Since you must burn a certain amount of calories a day to lose weight, exercise a lone will not let you achieve this. However, exercise is important to your weight loss.</p>
<p>Exercise not only helps you to lose and maintain weight it gives you other benefits as well.</p>
<p>Exercise can change your mood and relieve stress.</p>
<p>Exercise can prevent diseases.</p>
<p>Exercise can boost your energy.</p>
<p>Exercise can help you to sleep better.</p>
<p>Exercise can be fun!</p>
<p>So if you are trying to lose weight I encourage you to first get educated. Find out what foods are needed to maintain healthy eating and find out how much exercise you should do by finding a workout plan. Get motivated, Get inspired, and Get Going! A healthy body is well worth the achievement and you owe it to yourself to get the best out of life.

<p>What some people overlook is that you don&#8217;t necessarily have to follow a healthy eating weight loss diet that someone else claims is the best. You can figure out how to eat on your own. The first step is to look at how you&#8217;ve been eating. Obviously, if you need to lose weight you&#8217;ve been following a diet that provides you with too many calories. If your diet is healthy overall but you&#8217;ve been eating too many calories, then you might not even need to change the way you eat much at all. Increasing your daily exercise could be enough to help you lose weight. </p>
<p>If your diet needs an adjustment to become a healthy eating weight loss plan, though, you should look at the parts of your diet that seem unhealthy and adjust them. If you make too big a change from the way you like to eat, you&#8217;re setting yourself up to be unhappy with your new diet plan. Instead, try to incorporate the things you enjoy into your new plan. </p>
<p>Your healthy eating weight loss plan might not be able to include doughnuts 3 or 4 times a week like you&#8217;ve been eating. But the occasional doughnut as a treat might be acceptable if it fits within your allotted calories for that day. You might be able to have a substitution for a doughnut a couple of times a week, though. A whole grain bagel with fruit-flavored low-fat cream cheese, for instance, is a sweet treat that you could enjoy instead of a doughnut. It might give you the same satisfaction while remaining healthier and truer to your healthy eating weight loss plan. </p>
<p>If you eat a lot of sweets like chocolate, you can still enjoy them in moderation. Dark chocolate can be part of a healthy eating weight loss plan. Dark chocolate contains more antioxidants that many fruits and vegetables. So try dipping some of your favorite fruits like bananas, pineapple or strawberries in some high-quality melted dark chocolate for a powerful anti-oxidant punch that should satisfy your sweet tooth and keep you on your diet. </p>
<p>Almost any unhealthy treats you&#8217;re use to having can be substituted with a healthier food that gives you at least some of the satisfaction of the unhealthy treat. Mashed cauliflower instead of buttery mashed potatoes, thin-crust vegetable pizza instead of take-out and other tricks can make your healthy eating weight loss plan more enjoyable.</p>

Encourage kids to eat vegetables</p>

<p>Offer veggies raw &#8211; try celery sticks, capsicum strips, cherry tomatoes, whole button mushrooms, carrot (grated or steamed before age 3), snow peas, beans, cucumber or steamed asparagus. </p>

<p>Buy a lighter style whole grain bread or a soft wholemeal rather than white from the time you first introduce solids. If you already have kids who will only eat white bread, go for the white &#8216;high&#8217; types.</p>
<p>Use legumes (lentils, chickpeas and beans) to bulk up casseroles, Mexican dishes and salads.</p>
<p>Encourage kids to eat fruit like apples and pears with the skin on.</p>
<p>Shop for high-fibre kid-friendly cereals such as Sultana Bran, especially if any of your children have trouble with constipation.</p>
<p>Keep healthy snacks on hand</p>
<p>Stock up on healthy snacks for your kids:</p>
<p>yoghurt, plain or fruit</p>
<p>custard</p>
<p>crispbread with cheese or peanut butter</p>
<p>fresh bread or toast (ideally whole grain) with spread</p>

<p>Many snacks rate as mini meals &#8211; baked beans, cuppa soup and toast, pizza muffins, bowl of cereal and milk, milkshakes or smoothies, tub of yoghurt.</p>

<p>Always have cold water in the fridge and carry a water bottle for them when you&#8217;re out. Water is the ideal thirst quencher.</p>

Many of us are not even aware of why. Listed below I share my 9 healthy eating rules to follow protecting you from those restaurant calorie demons.</p>
<p>No wonder why diners today are more concerned about healthy restaurant eating.<span id="more-594"></span> A recent study of 300 American chefs indicated that 50% didn&#8217;t even care about the calorie content of the foods they served to the public. As a matter of fact, a mere 1 in 6 American chefs feel calorie content is remotely important. Therefore, as predicted, a typical chef&#8217;s main objective is to provide you with an excellent, but not necessarily healthy, dining experience so you will run out and tell your friends, and come back wanting more. Healthy restaurant eating is not on the top of chefs concerns. With that said, saturating the dishes with fat, salt, and sugar is of very little concern to most chefs. Restaurant chefs are simply willing to do whatever is necessary to show the customer extreme value while concentrating on the main goals of making their food taste and look great, even if it is at the expense of our health. This extreme perceived value objective has lead to the &#8220;super size portion generation&#8221; leading to bigger waistlines. </p>
<p>Do to the current pace of today&#8217;s society, Americans are now consuming over one third of there calories from eating out. How many of these calories are actually healthy dining calories? Probably not many.</p>
<p>Today we, as diners, must take on more personal responsibility than ever before focusing on eating right while eating out.. Chefs, restaurants, and friends are not going to look out for our health. Thus, it is our own personal responsibility to preserve our health by eating right while dining out.</p>
<p>If your health is meant to be, it is up to you. It is about choices. You have the personal choice of eating right. However, please understand, it is up to you to make a difference not anyone else. Which choice are you going to make?</p>
<p>Listed here are my 9 surefire health eating tips to help you take personal responsibility by eating right while dining out. </p>
<p>1. Don&#8217;t arrive extremely hungry. It is best to have a snack a couple of hours prior to eating out. This will ensure that you won&#8217;t enter the restaurant ready to eat the basket of bread. Don&#8217;t worry about spoiling your dinner; It is a bad healthy eating habit to come into a restaurant ravenous.</p>
<p>2. Take it home. When an extra large portion comes to the table request a doggy bad immediately prior to putting a bite of food into your mouth. Cut the extra large portion in half, take it home, and eat it tomorrow. </p>
<p>3. Dine at healthy eating restaurants. Patronize healthy dining eateries so you won&#8217;t get caught in a situation of not being able to locate anything healthy on the menu. Don&#8217;t set yourself up for failure.</p>
<p>4. Ask servers for substitutes. Be specific to the server about what you want to substitute. It never hurts to ask about getting your food prepared in a healthy dining manner. An good example would be replace the mayonnaise with mustard. It never hurts to ask. </p>
<p>5. Order dressing on the side. Another healthy eating tip is to order your salad dressing on the side. Be a dipper. You will save yourself added fat, and unwanted calories.</p>
<p>6. Beware of beverages. As you know, wine, beer, and regular soda all have calories too. Consider consuming water to conserve calories. Why drink your calories when you can eat them.</p>
<p>7. Healthy eating means avoid these terms: alfredo, au gratin, breaded crispy, french fried, pesto, hollandaise, light cream sauce, sauteed, or pastry.</p>
<p>8. Leave food on your plate. A good healthy eating habit is to always leave a bit of food on your plate. You don&#8217;t have to clean your plate. If you follow the doggy bag rule, of course, this may not apply. </p>
<p>9. Eat slowly. Eating slowly is proven to decrease the amount of food you eat. Thus, the caloric content ingested will be much less. </p>
<p>Eating healthy and eating out can be mentioned in same sentence. By following these 9 surefire healthy restaurant eating tips you are assured of walking out of the restaurant at the same weight you walked in at. </p>
