I have been unemployed for about 10 months, not from lack of trying as I have been actively searching; I even tried local fast food places in which I was told I was over qualified. Well, my health insurance ran out and I am suffering from depression so my doctor gave me a prescription but I cant afford to fill it just yet. I was wondering if anyone knows of a natural cure for depression, preferably one that does not cost a lot and wont cause weight gain (I have gained 30 pounds since losing my job which only adds to the depression). The doctor even told me the pills she was giving me, Effoexor xr, can cause weight gain which I dont see how you can end depression when youre putting on weight, seems like that would cause depression.
If you know of a natural cure please let me know, I want my optimism back and I want to be depression free. Thanks

You can try St. John's Wort or something like that. I have tried just about every natural anti depressant out there over the last 10 years and I did not have any luck.
I am sorry you do not have the money to get your RX filled. I am going to suggest to you to call your doctor and explain your situation and ask if they have any samples.
No good doctor wants any of their patients to go without prescribed medication.
